After graduating from Tufts University with a bachelor’s in economics, Marcia landed on the fixed income derivatives desk at Morgan Stanley. Within the last three years, she has helped to create innovation consulting firm Hello Q and founded Berkshire Collective, a digital strategy and web development consultancy.
She is currently working with the Cognitive and Immersive Systems Lab (CISL) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to help build the next generation Cognitive and Immersive Situations Room to augment group intelligence. The project builds on existing efforts to pull relevant data regarding startups from the Crunchbase API and bundle this into an online agent using the IBM Watson AI / machine learning framework.
As part of a class in the Technology Commercialization & Entrepreneurship master's program at RPI, she will be hosting the #WOCWorkshop on April 7th, 2018 to address the needs of tech entrepreneurs; specifically, women of color and diverse teams.
Giselle is a graduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute studying Technology, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship. In the future, Giselle would like to have her own independent game company focusing on telling diverse stories. She is currently on the planning committee for "The Business of Digital Games" a workshop for game designers interested in entrepreneurship.
